Movie Update

Fast & Furious

alright- so i have to admit....I liked it. It was pretty entertaining. It was nice to go see a movie and not have to actually think about the plot or try and figure out what is going on. It was just pure entertainment.

And what can I say- there were some hotties.

Cheesy quotes:
Paul Walker: This is where my jurisdiction ends.
Vin Diesel: And this is where mine begins.

The other hot girl: Let this go. Before it's too late.
Vin Diesel: It's already too late.

Duplicity

Alright- the plot: Julia Roberts screws over Clive Owen in the first scene....Fast forward: Clive sees Julia. Clive is made at Julia. Secret plan? 5 months later....14 months earlier....2 days earlier....4 months earlier....9 months later (A BABBBY!!! ...no)....then finally you think that something is actually going to happen....and it doesn't...2 hours later...you think that was the worst two hours of your life.

Ok- im being a little too critical. I just expected beautiful Mrs. Roberts to have a little bit more...um...selectivity. oh well.

Final Note: its not that the movie was confusing...it was just boring.

Sunshine Cleaning

I loved it. It was a little more depressing then I thought it was going to be but overall I thought it was a very creative movie. Emily Blunt is the next big thing. She out did Amy Adams by a long shot. This movie just reaffirmed by dislike for Amy Adams. I don't know, she always looks so irritating. I never really felt sorry for her character and I think the audience was supposed to.

I really wish Emily Blunt would have been a lesbian though. Her character seemed so lonely and detached. And then she meets the lesbian and she wants to change this girl's life by letting her know that her mother has died. Both of the girls have different intentions, but both of them are trying to fill a void in their lives. In the end, nothing ever works out the way you wanted and Emily Blunt continues to detach her self from society.

Observe and Report

If it wasn't for the last 8 minutes, I would have thought the movie was pretty stupid. The movie is still worth going to see though. Paul Blart had more of a storyline but Observe and Report was funnier...all because of Michael Peña. He was truly hilarious. Overall I guess I would give the movie a 7.

On the Nip (creative title by Pari) :)

Kitties are soo crazy

Pishi is a little more calm....

Cut back to Dusty

This is how Dusty spends most of his day---in his kitty fort

AND- he thinks he can take over Pishi's 62" kitty condo...but Pishi knows who's boss

The Wrastler

I thought Mickey Rourke was fantastic. He made me fall in love with the character and pretty much feel sorry for him. The only thing I didn't like about the movie was the first 30 minutes or so when there was so much blood. I mean, I guess I can handle seeing Mickey Rourke get stapled or cut his own forehead with a small razor blade but I enjoyed the last half of the movie soo much. The main point of the movie was a little depressing to say the least. Randy "The Ram" had been alone his whole life, almost detached from society; granted some of this was self inflicted. When he finally thinks he is reconnecting with people not involved in wrestling he ruins it. In the end, he was willing to risk everything for the one thing he could fully understand and that gave meaning to his life: wrestling.

Alright- I love the fun facts about movies:
  • Nicholas Cage was originally supposed to star in the movie.
  • The film was shot in 35 days.
  • Reportedly, both Bruce Springsteen and Mickey Rourke were paid no money for their contributions towards the film.
  • Randy "The Ram" Robinson's van is a Dodge Ram.
  • The video game Randy and his child neighbor play in the trailer was created especially for the film and was fully playable.
  • Marisa Tomei's first day of shooting was the scene where she gives Mickey Rourke a lap dance. Ok that would have been really akward, you have to admit he is pretty scary looking.
  • Rourke actually cut himself with the razor.

Ok- so Mickey Rourke was really good looking back in the day. Remember Angel Heart...I mean...DAMN

And I will end with a before and after picture of the plastic surgery

Hmm....Better?....No- still scary
